#1 Newbie

Post by gabbeyabbey » Thu Mar 29, 2018 7:53 pm

Hello all
New to the site. I am the owner of a 1967 2+2 that my father used to race in the modsports in the seventies. Restored in the 1980's by Chris Forbes.
I have been sorting through some old service manuals today and out of one of them fell a poster I have never seen before. I will post a picture over the next couple of days but it is a plan view of an e type in diagram form showing all the service points and specified lubricants. I have googled to try and get some more information on it, I have not seen anything like it before and neither it seems has Google. Does it ring any bells with anyone ?
I think I will probably frame it.

I know this kind of plan from the Citroen SM. It´s called a Service plan in germany, and they were hung in garages, to show the mechs where to grease what and when.

Nice find!

Not in modsports anymore although I do have some pictures somewhere. It was put back to original in the restoration. It did have the wheel arches extended to take the wide wheels, but it was decided with the best intentions to go back to original but with hindsight I am not sure it was the best idea.
