#1 Hi from NZ's latest latest member

Post by gregchap4@gmail.com » Wed May 29, 2019 11:13 am

Like my predecessor, I too am embarking on a restoration of a '63 OTS, this time a half finished project from the states, the heavy work has been done, body paint, suspension, drivetrain... just needs the other 2000 odd parts sorting, identifying, rechroming/repairing/replating/replacing and I'll be away.

Looking forward to advice & sharing my progress.

Greg

Hi & welcome,
It looks like you’re off and running with a great project.
Does it have all the original engine/gbox/diff?

No, a 3.8 from a Mk 10 plus jag 4 speed gearbox (non mossbox), which suits me, I can change to RHD, maybe a few upgrades without destroying the value of a totally original car.

I've been going through the tech info on RHD conversion, a wealth of knowledge!

Hi,
I converted mine to RHD, including the change to the wiper motor to get it to park correctly. The info on the forum is invaluable. There are also some suppliers that will provide the complete kit of parts. It’s pretty straightforward - go for it!
