#1 Hello you Jaguar Lovers!
Hello to you all, im Carlos, i'm from Argentina and owner of my father's Series 1 1964 etype jag. My father got this car when he was young and now i'm taking care of it. I'ts been on the family for almost 50 years so its like a brother to me. I've recently re done the engine because the last time an assasin put A smaller piston , So i bought many parts from SNG Barratt and i have it running since a few months. My mechanic knows me since I was born so he help me with the mechanics and i really like to learn and do many things on the car. No i'm quite done tunning the SU Triplets. In the other hands i have my fathers best friend with his new 1967 1,5 series 4.2 etype, also he has a ´54 xk 120 (for over 50 years now) and he also bought a 1962 3.8 MKII. So yes, we're trully jaguars lovers.
Great to meet you all, it's been a while since I used a forum so let me apologize for any miss conduct or loss of experience, also we speak spanish in Argentina so i'm trying my best with the language.

Very nice car.
Looks like it is parked outside a very interesting house as well.
You also seem to have a magically floating garden wall.

Carlos, welcome to the forum and it's good to see your family's love of Jaguars. There is a lot of information in the technical section to help tune the SUs and don't feel shy about asking questions. There are many very experienced owners and mechanics on here who will be very happy to help.
Good luck and do tell us more and post more photos

how are you all, thanks for the good vives. I've recently made up the engine, and i helped my mechanic in almost everything, so I could learn the secrets... here if you have a car like this its easy to be overcharged. I have a little story, when my father bought the car he had 2 options, one with great mechanics and crappy body, and one with great body and crappy mechanics, guess wich he bought... haha. So one day he street race with a 911 porche, so he blew up the engine . When he took the cyl head to the repair shop, he removed the oil cup to hid the jaguar brand, and the shop manager told him " ohh... this is a Jaguar head, who have Jaguar have money, and who have money will have to pay" haha...
So now i'm in charge and i want to bring it back to life in the better way possible.
I have redone the entire engine with brand new pistons, rings, metals, oil pump, water pump, clean radiator, new and bigger radiator fan, redone the SU carbs, brake pump, brake serbo, and i hand made the hole electrical instalation myself. Aldo i have a little problem that i will be posting on the mechanic part.
if anyone want to see more pictures its easy to IG me by Charlycupa , anyhow i will be downloading pics from the phone to my laptop so i can upload it here.
Have a great one!

Welcome. What a great thread and photographs I am only guessing but I'd imagine e types must be rare cars in Argentina?
