#1 Any London locals able to meet for a pint or three?

Post by skiracer » Tue Nov 05, 2019 2:00 pm

I've been a member here for several years but I tend to hang out on the E-Type lovers forum more than this one as I'm in the US. My wife and I are traveling to London for a vacation that will include attending the E-Type/XK club dinner on November 15th. I was wondering if anyone on this forum that lives in the London area would be willing to meet us for a few pints and talk about our shared passion and life in general. I'm always up for meeting new people! We could travel to your favorite pub and meet you there; we are staying in central London near the Savoy. I have an early 1968 Series 1.5 OTS that I've owned for decades and am currently working to complete a several year total restoration of the car- I do the vast majority of the work myself. Getting closer! If you are willing to meet for a pint please respond here or email me at dbanning at earthlink dot net and I'll get back to you. Thanks, and looking forward to meeting any of the locals!

Hey Doug,

I'm not in London but I am in Birmingham (Alabama that is). Check in with me, if you're ever down my way. My wife and I would be happy to meet you and yours for a few pints!

Thanks Craig for the offer. I don;t get down south very often but if the opportunity presents itself I'll contact you. The offer stands for me as well- if you're ever in the Denver area let me know!
