Greetings,
I've been an admirer of the E-type for many years and during the past two years really began to appreciate the engineering of the "E" as I've now completely disassembled, improved and rallyed and toured with TR4 and MG for many years.
Financial circumstances allowed ability to acquire an E-type, however, I was only seeking what I thought was "best" in my opinion and that meant low mileage, S1, never restored. As of last June I purchased a one-owner '65 that had been in dry storage since '77 with 26,000 miles on ODO. I purchased from the original owner. The car has never been apart, the head never off, I have all receipts of service and registration since new. Suspension consumables have been renewed or replaced and the fuel system and brake system cleaned and checked. The car retains the original cooling system.
I've since placed about 600 miles on it during the past year and seems to run better with every mile!
Once I have better time, I"ll post a few pictures.
Pleasure to be here with everyone. -WP from Pittsburgh, PA
