#1 New E-Type owner in Cornwall
Good Morning ( Depending upon where you are in the world)
I have fulfilled a chidhood promise that one day I would buy myself a E-Type. I had though targetted the purchase before reaching the age of 35. I am however 22 years late.
I was attracted to this site as I saw that there seemed to be a Cornish section. I can not see this section on any of the lists. I am not good with forums and therefore I am sure that its there somewhere. If some kind soul could direct me I would be grateful.
I have bought myself what they call a series 1.5 2+2 Coupe in black. Im thrilled with it and I look foward in meeting a few local owners for a few meet ups and sunny day drives.
Kindest Regards
Deryk

Hi and welcome. That’s a great looking car. Have you had it long?
In terms of a ‘Cornwall section’, are you a member of any Jaguar car clubs? JEC, JDC or the E-Type Club. They will have local reps who organise or communicate local events. The E-Type Club has a Devon & Cornwall rep for example.

Deryk, as Steve says, this is the best club for all things E Type. No membership fees, just good advice and technical help, plus a light sprinkling of humour.
There are the other clubs mentioned by Richard, they are more social clubs with broader membership, except for the E Type Club which is often described as a commercial venture.
If you wish to meet up with others then the JDC and JEC will have from the good to the bad in the way of which local group you meet. It depends on what you want. For help and advice this is by far the best place.
Please add your name and car type to the signature area as it helps people respond appropriately and politely to questions.
Have fun and welcome.
Geoff

Welcome on board - a lovely looking car. If you have not done so already, it's worth exploring all the various sections of the Forum (particularly the knoweldgebase).... huge amounts of detail present.

Hi Deryk
Just noticed your message about E Type owners in Cornwall. We found the same rarity of owners here. However you have found an owner just about 3 miles away from you. We live in Lanivet and if you would like to come and visit us you are most welcome. If you are interested we will private message you our address and phone number.
Regards
Peter and Lesley

Hi Peter
Just scrolling through to find Etype owners in Cornwall and see that you are in Lanivet just a few miles from me in St Tudy. Do you go to any Etype meets with other Etype owners at all? I moved to the area just over a year ago + have not been successful in finding anything local. Would be good to hear back from you. Regards, Steve + Angela Young

Steve,
Contact Lewis Mitchell at vivien.mitchell@btinternet.com. Lewis runs the Cornish area of the JDC. It means a bimble down the A39 to Truro for the regular meets, but nothing ventured ......

This map of E-Type owners will give you some idea of where owners are in your neck of the woods. Scroll around and zoom in. Cursor on the pin push will give information on the car.
