I have recently converted my series 3 v12 etype to 4 port electronic injection but have encountered a problem with generating a correct tacho signal
During installation the ballast convertor and amplifier were removed as they were not required and the tacho signal was picked up from the negative side of an uprated coil as advised but the out put sends a signal which is only 40-50% of what would be normal.
Should I reintroduce the amplifier in the circuit to boost the tacho signal and if so how. Or is there another method to get the correct signal.
Thanks
Ian
