#1 Greetings from Ireland! 1969 series 2 FHC

Post by Shutit » Tue Aug 08, 2023 2:30 pm

Hello all!
Ive just acquired a 1969 E-Type FHC series 2 LHD to RHD conversion. It has had a good bit of work done to it by the previous owner, but needs fettling and sorting to get it properly back on the road. The articles and tech support here has been good reading so far and hopefully I wont be too much of a pest asking questions that have been already answered!
My first jobs are;
Getting the clutch and brake pedals properly bent to suit the RHD conversion.
Getting the engine to run and idle smoothly.
Sorting the brakes after lying idle for 5 years.
Electrics! Only half working.
The dash needs to be recovered.
Strong petrol smell in boot.
After that can start driving it!
Thanks!
Cheers!

Many of us have done the conversion Left to Right. Including me .
So any concerns ask away .

Good luck

As far as the fuel odor in the boot, if it isn’t an obvious leak then check the breather of the tank.
