#1 Can I introduce myself and thank you

Post by POV4579 » Thu Dec 21, 2023 9:46 am

I thought I would introduce myself and say thank you for the help you have given me recently. My name is Craig I am from Birmingham, England and I have wanted a E type Jaguar for over 50 years! I started to build a pot of money toward my e type but marriage, moving house, house extensions, daughter getting married, daughter buying a house and just life in general….It just seemed I would never get my dream car….BUT with a little bit of luck and credit cards!!! I now own a signal red 1971 V12 series 3 2+2. I have read numerous books and lots of research on the E type, but there is nothing like owning one, sitting in it, smelling it and of course driving it. I joined this forum in 2022 and made my first post this week Dec 2023, as I needed a bit of help and the response has been fantastic. Thank you for your help and looking forward to great times ahead. Craig

Welcome. Reminds me of the time I got my hands on mine after yearning for this dream car for many decades….five years into ownership of which three for restoration and life is good. The only barrier to full enjoyment is the British weather🙁🎅

Welcome! Your story sounds like mine but I took just 40 years....it was worth the wait! I'd avoid the salty roads but other than that use your car...mine goes to Sainsbury's (other supermarkets are available!)...you will find an E attracts Joe public like not much else...petrol stations usually involve a conversation and E types just love visiting filling stations
