Excellent result Robbie. Looks like you have the real thing.

I am very pleased for you.

Now you may have some understanding of why all those hundreds of motor traders offering hundreds of "restored" or "original" e-types would never come near a forum like this in a month of Sundays.

They could be exposed in seconds.

(unless they are telling the truth of course).

Excellent result Robbie and shows that diligent research and openness can work in your favour. Hopefully you will start a restoration thread along with photos so we can all see how the story turns out. I assume you have already entered your car details on XKEdata.com as it will help stake your claim.

Hi David

All thanks to your help...greatly appreciated

I will go to The database and enter it, thanks

Yes.. plenty of photos being taken

taking the car apart and discovering stuff is almost as much fun as putting it back together

Hi friends,
5 years and a pandemic have passed and my 1962 RHD OTS found in Holland is just about finished!
I did about 75% myself but the boys at Butlins have helped out with bodywork and engine rebuild
It is registered and has a 1962 Reg number
Thanks for all your help
Robbie

A long journey indeed, this thread started before I joined....well done in getting the identity sorted and hope to see it on the road soon.
