#1 New member from the USA

Post by JohnB27 » Fri Dec 16, 2016 4:04 am

Hello to everyone on the board.
I'm a new member here from New Jersey in the USA. I just purchased a '66 FHC. This is my second E-Type, I had a '67 OTS long ago and always knew sooner or later I would have another as they are such wonderful cars. This particular car was restored in 1990 and has seen little use since. It has actually sat in storage for the past 20 years. It retains the original engine, transmission, and body per the JHC certificate. The body is solid and shows no rust or bondo. It was repainted black although originally it was Golden Sand. After rebuilding the carbs and installing a new fuel pump it runs and drives. It needs a good compounding and mechanical going over, but it appears to have been a decent earlier restoration. I look forward to getting it in proper driving condition and enjoying it on the road. I anticipate leaning on the forum for advice, knowledge, and encouragement as required.

Cheers!

John B

Welcome to the party, John! Looks like you've found yourself a nice E-Type. This is THE forum for anyone living with an E-Type. Owned two myself, over a 30-year period, so I know how these cars get under out skin. Again, welcome to the party!

Planning on getting E-Type No. 3 as soon as possible....

Welcome to the Forum, John. You'll get lots of friendly help, advice and not a little fun and humour on here.
Others on your side of the Pond will help for particularly local info, but you get lots of help from all of us.
Have fun.
