Come on Doris, do your bit and wash away all that thoroughly unnecessary salt from our roads. I want to go for a drive.

Doris didn't do her bit down south. She made a bit of a mess elsewhere, but within spitting distance of the south coast there is still a lot of salt, dried and dusty on yesterday's drive in the daily driver, yet to be washed away. So I'm still waiting for a decent rain storm to wash the roads clean enough for an E-Type adventure.

Full marks to Doris up here in the NW Midlands . Tree down in garden, phone and internet cut off , slates off ( my virtually brand new and certainly gold plated ) roof, and ( for the umpteenth time) some of my garage roof gone. GRRRRRRR!!!
