My wife and I have found this Chipmunk Crisps sponsored first aid kit by Johnson and Johnson while going through my mother in law's estate.

Neither of us have any recollection of Chipmunk Crisps or of this first aid kit.

It appears to be complete and in excellent condition and may be a good period accessory for a car of the right age.

Can anybody shed any light on the background to this? Production dates etc would be great to know.

Regards
Stuart

Chipmunk Crisps, especially the OXO flavour, were hugely popular in the 1960's and '70's before being taken over by Golden Wonder who discontinued the OXO flavour. Which is a shame because they tasted incredible!

I wonder if Chipmunk Crisps were regional. I don't remember them from my childhood when growing up in the sixties and seventies in the North East. I could be wrong though.

I've read a few forum threads where people wax lyrical about them and now I feel as though I've missed out on something.

More importantly, what about the tie up with Johnson & Johnson? Could the first aid kit be a school promotion?

Unfortunately, there are no dates on anything. It obviously pre-dates sell by and use by requirements.

I really like this item for some strange reason and would love to find out something about it's history.

Yours seems to be in better condition than this one...
