Some years ago Merlin Nottingham had a special order Carrera 4 Cab with 'Lobster' paint and matching full leather interior. They tried to talk the client out of it but they insisted on going ahead. It cost a fortune to do, 12 months to complete by Porsche, looked terrible in the metal and when they decided to sell it 12 months - quelle surprise, no one wanted it! It hung around the dealers forecourt for two years (on consignment, no flies on them) until it eventually disappeared. That Barbie car is likely to suffer the same fate although some clown might buy it for his teen Essex girlfriend!
