As anyone else experienced the disappointing amount of under body corrosion on this model in my case with a vehicle 5yrs old and 40K miles.
The main rear frame and auxiliary steel components have a high level of surface rust https://rustconverters.net/metal-rescue-rust-remover/ particularly on all the welds. None of these components has had any form of protective treatment after manufacture or before assembly and appears to have been supplied and fitted with sprayed finish of black paint which has basically disappeared. Similar situations are present at the front underside with suspension components, shock absorbers etc. taking on the same appearance.
Given a couple of years it is worrying that this corrosion will escalate to a level resulting in a breakdown of the structure and possible MOT failure. Is there any recourse on this problem with Jaguar.
Thanks a lot.

I would hazard a guess that this relates to an F type , where this problem is becoming well recognised
