#1 Enjoying myself

Post by tim wood » Thu Apr 16, 2020 6:51 pm

So I’ve just come in from garage with bleeding and grazed knuckles caused when tightening the fixings for the screen wash jets. One of those little jobs that I know is going to hurt but may as well get it done.

My ever loving wife looks at my scratched, grazed and bleeding wrists & knuckles and says “ what have you been up to”

Just enjoying myself in the garage darling!

She looks at me with that wistful look gained over many years.
Series 1 FHC purchased 40 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.

Tim, it’s when you walk into the house needing medical assistance to dress a cut to the scalp or worse that the wistful looks gain greater value
