That looks like Sandals at Halcyon. We will be a bit further down the coast in March at the Rendezvous. Now that is proper slumming, bar service by flag on the beach. Herself's brother lives at the other end of the same beach, a 2 mile walk along the Caribbean sand. Having family on the island means our holidays are sometimes quite busy.

It’s got a 250 foot long swimming pool, apparently the biggest in the Caribbean, but not a single E Type in sight

Looks lovely.
We had our honeymoon at the St Lucia Beach Hotel back in 1971!! When it was a fairly uncommercialised and idyllic island.
Not really jealous!!

" but not a single E Type in sight"
There is (was) a XJS unused resting and rusting near Rodney Bay. The nearest E-Type is probably in Curacao, a 3.8 coupe.

There is supposed to be a 100 metre long swimming pool in a hotel on Greneda. Don't recall its name but it has been featured on a TV program about luxury hotels, fronted by Giles Coren.
But who needs a fecking big pool when the sea is clear and around 27 degrees C and goes on for miles.

An interesting coincidence . My ( sadly now late) wife and I were at the St Lucia Beach this time of year in 1971
We went in succession to all the Commonwealth Development Corporation hotels in sequence, and enjoyed them all

We were there for the first 3 weeks in September. - still have the brochures etc! (how sad is that!!)
Fabulous, unspoilt resort. Still remember the crab races, then seeing some of the crabs with their markings on, scampering (if that's the right term!) across the beech the next day!!
Great memories.
Sorry to hear about your other half.

Looks pretty rough. Hope you made it through that hell alright :) Seriously though, looks like quite the paradise for a good rest and relax.
