Rumours are growing online Facebook......that JLR have cut up/destroyed their Peter Jay C type replica....the car they use on their Drive Experiance days......possibly to do with the ongoing legal action with replicas....Steve

Maybe they were afraid that they'd sue themselves

JLR really do seem to be losing the plot. They can’t decide which sort of powerplant for new builds without always behind the rest of the market. They want to go up market yet how will they compete with the likes of Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin? They had a good line of Jaguar saloons then decided to compete with itself against the Landrover SUVs. Will the new boy at the helm get them going on the right track or just let it all collapse. I hope not as I’d very much like to buy another new Jag saloon.
Bring back a character like Sir William or even John Egan.

It's still showing as on the road, taxed , and therefore presumably insured . If it had been scrapped then one would expect the V5C section to have been returned to the DVLA

Hi Christopher...a Green Jag is still shown on DVLA with that reg number.......as far as im aware there has been no confirmation from JLR that the car has been scrapped....but some good sources are saying it has been....if it has then ideally you would want to save the reg number first....Steve

That's not an easy article to read and doesn't seem to scan in terms of legal processes.

I wonder whether there is a more neutral, dispassionate and better informed report on the proceedings. I haven't been able to find one so far.
