It seemed like a big hurdle when I was on the other side, but now I'm here it feels just the same as before. Fortunately, my family - my two boys - know what buttons to press to keep me feeling good about life the universe and everything.

In my case. All the sixties, clickity, click. You are only a young whipper snapper and have not even got a bus pass.

Ian, it's always nicer when a lady knows which buttons to press

My sixtieth birthday present was a weekend in the Cotswolds in a lovely hotel and an OTS to drive, then we bought my E Type, my lady wife certainly knows how to get on my better side.

I've got you all beat: my 60th present was my E Type. Have I got a good wife or what?

Seems to be an E type theme with 60ths. For mine - six years ago now - the kids bought me a track day in which I got to drive a Healey, DB6, E type and D type. I have to say out of all of them I enjoyed the E type the most, which I wasn't expecting. Three years later I bought one.

I can't remember my 60th birthday let alone what present I got

Now where was I going when I left the other end of the house?

No you havent,.... I had just got my S3 E type in 1980 and gave a girl a lift, then 4 years later it was our wedding car! and Andrea and I are still driving Jags, except she has the F Type

4 years? Just think how much quicker you would have wooed her if you'd had the OTS back then

No quite, I got my e-type just before my 59th (for my 60th) as a present from my wife (re-invested her pension fund) on the basis that it was re-built and finished for my 60th in a month's time - still working on that tho ! :D
