Everyone has heard of Stonehenge, Wiltshire's if not Britain's most famous prehistoric monument. Have you heard of woodhenge, which is nearby? Or the Durrington Walls? How about the West Kennet Long Barrow, one of the oldest monuments in Britain, which has been dated to around 3,600BC, or Avebury or Silbury Hill - Europe's tallest prehistoric monument.

A 100 mile round trip takes them all in.
Disappointingly, the position of the posts that were originally woodhenge are now marked by concrete posts, just visible over the roof of the E-Type.

I was there, and bought book from Mike Parker-Pearson.

Oh and Salisbury / the Magna Charta is very close, we stayed for a night.

And there's always a jam at Stonehenge...

What about Waylands Smithy, too - been fabricating parts for E-Types since before the pyramids were put up, so they say..... :?: (Not as old as Woodhenge, of course, but........)

On a recent trip to Wales......

.... I had reason to drive past Dunkirk on the way there and then Pennsylvania on the way back. Distance between the two, about 9 miles.
