I'm having issues getting onto the new **improved** JL site. Anyone else with similar issues?

Chris,

The site load varies, Just after the migration it kind of went a bit crazy with sending digests and emails. There were also some problems with dates in 2digit format in the earlier posts, but that seems to have been resolved.

I get a timeout every now and then, but the site is up and running.

I can only get as far as the "index", and, sadly , as is so often the case, the new improved version appears to be the most appalling jumble , with either postings from 1997 being the first to appear, or , if one goes to the "latest" tab , postings on every subject under the sun appearing . Without wishing to sound ungrateful for the work that people put in , wouldn't it be an idea to test these things beforehand ?

I assume you guys are getting further than me. My old JL login doesn't work. Trying to set up a new login fails as the new JL thinks my valid email address isn't. And it appears to know my ID, not letting me create an identical one.

And it knows my email address, the same one it tells me is invalid!

Ho Hum! I guess Mr C and his fellow JLers are busy at the moment sorting out the problems. I think I'll go and annoy someone on FaceSpaceTwatThingy.

Chris' issues are the same as mine. It knows me but won't let me in!

JL is a goldmine of information. Ill give them a chance to work through it.

I can't register as it says my chosen username is "not available". I have tried various combinations including 'hgfgfd' as a test to no avail. No doubt they will work out the wrinkles, give them time.

Guys, you don't "create" an account. Your email and all your messages were migrated, but no password. What you do is get the system to send you a password reset email to the account that you were using on the old JL site. When that mail arrives you click on the link and it takes you to the new site where you enter your new password.

See Nick's instructions here:

I am unable to reach jag-lovers.com. I get a message saying my connection is not private, and will only let me "return to safety".. I have cleared cookies, but no help.

Edit:: I was able to get to the site in "unsecure" mode, but it doesn't recognize my username or email address when I ask to reset my password.

Apologies to this forum for posting my JL woes, but this seems to be my only communications channel for the moment. Edit:: thanks for the PM. Reply sent.

Edit::unsecure site error is fixed. Thanks to JagWaugh and Gunner. I am now back to TWO quality E sites!
