Sadly my VSE VSO2 cylinder head cracked on the water jacket
I have dispatched it to one of our best JEC experts to rebuild the head using existing parts
His report is not too good
1 Standard 4.2 cam is fitted
1 2.4 modified cam is fitted
This is not what I paid for or ordered from VSE
I'm a little bit miffed to say the least
Any suggestions on how to progress would be appreciated
Regards
Andrew

There is another person here who had a similar experience - paid for VSE02 but it was rebuilt as a standard engine and failed. Your only real option is to send the engine back as a complete unit once you have their agreement to do the work. Allowing others to change things will probably invalidate any claim unless the work can be described as an 'independent engineering report'.

Indeed he did, and it was impossible to tell the difference until/unless you went inside, at which point it became obvious. Came with wrong clutch as well. The fail was possibly not entirely their fault as it was under somewhat abnormal conditions.

Oh dear, not a great recommendation then as I was previously considering using them.

However having recently sampled the delights of an Andrew Turvey engine would likely go down the AT route...
