Anyone else going tomorrow?
I will, hopefully in the E if I can figure out why it developed a huge misfire last night!

Thanks for the photo, Steve. I must say your car loked superb in the sunshine, and it was good to put a face to the names on the forum.
Hats off to SNGB, I though the event was excellent. I got to drive my own car, their E and also be a passenger when Julian Barrett piloted his F Type up the hill - it really highlighted the difference in technology that 50 years makes.
It was great use of their marketing money, in my opinion - even the food was free !
Now I just need to sort the misfire that kept recurring during the day and became a real problem on the return trip. I'll start a new thread on that though.
Regards
Joe

Yes an excellent day and very well run. I made the mistake of going up first with Julian in the F Type 4 by 4 - the run in my E felt very slow by comparison. He drives v well at sub 35 second times - a lot quicker than when I used to compete there in my old ex-works TR3. Crash helmets in FHC's also don't work. I too had a misfire on my run and this manifested itself further en route to the Breakfast Meet at Shelsley on the Sunday. Engine died but worked out the problem - a 55 year old ignition switch- bit of prodding and we were away. The accompanying car a 53 yo Bentley also conked out 50 yards from me. We diagnosed a dodgy coil so sped back with my spare coil and with some expert bodging to get the main wire to fit we were away. Classic Nostalgia this WE at Shelsley - anyone going?
