See you all tomorrow. Probably be in the manky Vauxhall van as the weather today is awful and the roads are even worse...awash with mud... :?: :?: :banghead:

Yes, -1 degree to start with tomorrow & snow from the East - is it really April next week ?

Washing the E-Type this morning in preparation for tomorrow I found a slight leak from the brake master cylinder, so I may have to come in alternative transport also.

Think if I'd got mine out today it would have been washed away. It has pissed down all afternoon and shows no sign of easing off. Huge flood in the road outside..

Sorry gents (and particularly to Angus), but I'm afraid I'm going to give this one a miss now

I've got a sickening amount of uni work to do and it's a fair return trek, which would be quite a decent amount of studying time lost. The weather looks properly naff too. It'll not be a particularly fun ride there and back and what with being a month before my first exam, I need to be doing as much as I can!

Fourth year is a real pain. My thesis was handed in only a few days ago but i can't relax, what with 6 exams and a viva over the next 6 weeks!

I will hopefully see you all in the summer - keep an eye out for details about mine and Richard's run soon

A quick note to thank Angus and the rest of the Moss team on a very interesting visit and tour of their facilities today. Excellent bacon butties and I loved the new wooden flooring
Joking aside, I was very impressed with all that I saw - particularly the detailed explanation of the work in progress in the build room - quality was second to none.
Nice to meet a couple of people from the forum and be able to thank David (Heuer) for his commitment to this invaluable forum too, in person.
Despite other commitments that dragged me away, I have already been back in the garage, I was that inspired!
Many thanks again,
Rich

Adding my name to say thank you to Angus and all the team for an interesting day. Putting a few more faces to names and seeing the number of E Type owners that are happy to drive out in heavy rain, drizzle, cold etc.
That's what an E Type is for, not being a trailer queen!

For those who couldn't make it, sadly the weather meant the dancing girls said it was too cold to put on their show  Next time, Angus, choose a warm, dry day, please.

A great experience talking with Angus and his team a wealth of knowledge and they talked TO! me not at me with superfluous technical jargon, also nice to talk to lads going through similar traumas with their restorations. Well done everyone who rolled up in their E Types great effort in the awful weather.

Angus
Just a follow up to my earlier post i meant it was great to be talked to in layman's terms with not a load of baffling technical jargon, not sure the earlier post read as i intended.

A big Thank You from me as well to Angus and the team for your hospitality! What a great day it was, terrific to meet up, and see & hear some gorgeous cars. And to come home with more pearls of wisdom, and another list of things I need to do/buy/change....
Thank you all!

Angus,

Yes I would also like to thank you for your hospitality and a lovely day.
It was very informative visit and I was very impressed by the cars you restore.
It was also good to meet and chat with some of the other forum members.

Shame about the weather, but it didn't spoil a great day.

Massive thanks to you all for your kind comments and for making the effort to attend. I will let the guys know how much of a success everyone thought it was. Barrie reckoned over 80 cups of coffee and tea were served and we had a tiny amount of food left so he estimated that well!

We all had a great day and despite the weather, it was good to see so many E types in the car park. People came from all over and we were grateful to the efforts you all made.

If there is the interest, we might make it an annual event.

Angus, Leon, Murray, Callum and Barrie.

Angus,

thank you and your men for opening up your shop on saturday. It was great to see your shop and see and hear how you and your men go about your business. I appreciate the attention to detail, and the handling of any issues. I‘m impressed!
