#1 New SNGB website bugs

Post by mach2andy » Thu Dec 07, 2017 7:16 pm

The new SNGB website went live today. I managed to use it briefly earlier, but it now appears to have quit??
The diagrams looked to me to be much clearer, and your shopping basket now shows pictures of the items that you have added. Hopefully the bugs will be ironed out soon?

It seems to be a bit nippier too.
I would love to see one of the major internet suppliers add feedback sections on parts in the way that Amazon and others do.
OK, that may kill off one or two products, but it could well be positive for other parts.

I've just had a look. It seems that half of the numbers in the drawings refer to the wrong parts.

Have a look at the E-Type S1 4.2 DHC Cooling system. It shows the exhausts..... and when you click the drawing it gives you the radiater part number etc. A lot more work needed i'm afraid.

Yes I have to agree with the comments. I have items in the basket which I placed there before the upgrade, Every time I log in it tries to synchronise the basket but just endlessly shows the spinning icon.
Having said that the site generally looks a lot slicker and I’m sure it’ll be a big improvement once it’s debugged.

Cheers

Hi
The SNG site still isn't working
Just tried ordering some items and it comes up with an error message and won't summarise the order details
Anyone else having trouble as wanted parts Asaph but can't order online?

Thanks
Phil

Hope they do not go bust over this. Imagine how many customers get lost over such a transition. For a while everyone can cope, phone, or use another supplier this one time. But if it stays this way for a longer time, well....

I ordered just before Xmas....two separate orders.....seemed just fine....and a big improvement over the previous site. Both orders arrived the following day.

@Carsten:
As long as SNG's sales department has people like Pete Thomas, who did help me so super friendly, quick and with such a profound competence, when I stranded with a broken clutch slave cylinder far from home in Saumur, France this September, SNG won't go bust over an inoperable home page.
Guten Rutsch!
