First trip abroad
#1 First trip abroad
Taking the Series 3 to Le Touquet this weekend, will be its first trip on the continent, I know its not far, but even so, filled with trepidation... hope to get a photo of the Jag outside the Casino, have done so with the Vantage, will make a good match!

Think of things that stop you dead in your tracks, ignition amplifier, coil, fuel pump. All doable in a car park with a few tools. Take this. If its anything larger, waterpump etc you need European cover, for recovery if nothing else.
We have been many times and its only 20 mins or so out of Calais, you will be fine I'm sure.
On a related issue I and my wife went on the first Geneva trip, early 80's and I was stationed in Germany. Finished a 2 year rebuild on the thursday and set off on the friday for a 10 day bash around Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Boot full of tools plus spares. All of which were not required. Excellent holiday.
Ours was the red S2 in the lower pic'
This was taken on the Wednesday and found interference problems with the new manifold but still wanted to start it up after rebuild. How times and styles change, painted cam covers, wolfrace wheels!

SWMBO and I are taking ours on a first trip (almost but not quite) anywhere next month. Certainly a first abroard.
Taking the Jag to the Spa Classic meeting on a tour through Fasttracktours, a local company run by a TVR club enthusiast. 5 day trip stopping in nice hotels and spectating only at the classics races.
