Hi all just clearing out old mags etc and bumped into an old classic car weekly from September 2001 ( wow that was a heavy duty month ) and thumbing through it, I bumped into the original add for my 1st E and later to be Tracey my wife's E
I'd forgotten I'd bid him down 1K from the price shown
Which is only 250 quid more than I paid for my POS.... I mean resto project in 2014 lol funny old world
Found my original add wow

14K for a lovely E-Type..
I'm part of the wrong sodding generation!
I hope values come down to a "sensible" level so that I will actually be able to afford one someday.

But Simon back in 87 ish when practical classics ran /sponsored the rebuild of a green FHCin serialisation in the mag , I was 17 /18 I never dreamed I'd own one let alone two and a few other quick cars . Never give up on ya wants in life and never call them dreams ..... dreams don't happen

Very good point, Darren. I intend on getting there. I need to be a successful organic chemist before that. Working on that will get me a good career and the potential to work on an ambition. Hopefully! I’m doing all I can for my future at the moment, not just for an E-Type

No Simon, you just need to be successful, it doesn't matter what you are successful at! You never know what twists and turns lie ahead of you in your career path.
You have chosen organic chemistry as your favoured route but it doesn't have to be so. I firmly believe that a person will be as successful as they are going to be, no matter what path they choose to take. It's the person that makes the difference.
Wishing you well in the final stages of your degree.
Regards
Stuart

First...very cool that you guys found your adverts. Second...those prices make me weep.
