#1 Unusual wheels, any idea what they could be?

Post by basilruler1234 » Sun May 20, 2018 3:34 pm

Hello all, I purchased my E-type last year with these wheels on the car which are somewhat unusual. All I can say is that first they aren't to my taste and I'll be swapping for wires, but that they are at least as old as 1977 as I have a photo of the car from this time with them on. If anyone has any idea what they are or if they're worth anything it would be appreciated, regards James

Unbranded Minilite style wheels of some sort which is strange as they should at least have size markings cast into the rims. The bevelled edges on the spokes are unusual as Minilites and their clones have them complete and tapered. Maybe if you remove a tyre there will be some markings? No idea of value so put them on ebay and see what happens.

I don't think I've ever seen (or, at least, noticed) Minilites with splined hubs before. Possibly a one off modification?

Stuart

I'm sure the wheels are gone, but if not, let me know. Thanks.

My first EType had splined minilites.
