#1 Bonnet opening at speed

One would think that with speed, the unlatched bonnet of an E would be pushed down by wind force.
Obviously, not the case here:


I am going to doublecheck the security latch. :policeblue:

It is an aerofoil surface with quite a degree of camber when viewed side on, and thus produces a good deal of lift . It is this which makes the steering go light at speeds over about 120 mph/ 180 kph

Had one open on me many years ago at 70mph. Remembered not to brake and instantly fitted the missing safety catch! Only damage was to the over riders.
