It’s a long shot but my EDIS 6 unit (not the power pack) has collected water in the connector and corroded the pin. I’m in the Round Britain Drive but now only have 4 cylinders.
Is there anyone local that has a spare unit or know of a garage that might have one. Otherwise it’s the flat-bed

It is a Ford part so worth enquiring at any Ford dealer or Motor Factor. Alternative is a breakers yard. In theory easy to find. I see you are heading to Exeter

We were en-route to Exeter but broke down in Weymouth. Thanks for the suggestions but it looks as though I will be a recovery vehicle as today is our last leg.
I think I might mount the EDIS 6 unit upside down fo avoid water being able to pool at the base of the connector pins
Chris

Never had a problem with mine mounted on the frame. Trick is to make sure you smear the connectors liberally with silicone grease.

Sorry for your misfortune Chris, I always carry a spare unit with a coilpack in the trunk just in case.
Can you detail more where exactly you have mounted the unit?
I have it mounted on the lower frame just in front of the air filter drums.
