XKE SU TRI CARBS FOR SALE very good condition

Hi I have a set of Su tri carbs with belonged to my grandad I have been clearing out he's workshop and came across them. I'm trying to sell them for my nan I have had a offer of 1800 from a dealer but don't want to sell them to cheap can anybody help or is anybody interested will add photos. Based in northamptonshire

They appear to be from a fairly early car as they have brass damper tops. Worth more than £1800 but put in the wanted/for sale section with an asking price....those are the rules I think.

I couldn't find the for sale or wanted section so I posted in general. I'd like as much as I can get to help out my nan. After swing what others sell for I'd take as close to £2500 For them

Never mind brass tops - the linkage alone may be over1000 as it is the v-early adjustable arm type. I’d say 1961 and worth at least 3K. I think there is someone looking for 61 parts in J-L classifieds. Will check.

Your XKE SU Tri Carbs item may be from one of the first 500-600 XKEs based on the dipped area behind the water outlet pipe just in front of the triangular blanking plate. This would make your item quite rare indeed.
Ref: See Haddock/Mueller "Jaguar E-Type Six-Cylinder Originality Guide," p-186.

I see a similar item on Ebay (but not as nice or rare as yours and not with the dipped area) listed for $10,000.

I would suggest that you list your item on Ebay with a start bid price of 4,000 GBP.
