#1 E Type Parts UK

Post by abowie » Tue Jul 16, 2019 12:28 am

A shout out to Jonathon at E Type parts for excellent service.

He answered 3 emails over the weekend, subsequently taking and sending me pictures of a part I inquired about. In comparison, I have yet to receive any reply from an email sent to a UK panel manufacturer after a week.

I haven't had much to do with E Type Parts in the past but will certainly be buying from him in the future.
Andrew.

Edited in light of the post and link below.

Although I've bought parts from them and been happy with the service I'm not sure I can condone the selling of vehicle identities without the presence of an actual car to restore.

That’s bad. What is a ‘Nova’ registration?

Notification of Vehicle Arrivals (NOVA) service. You use the NOVA service to tell HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) you’ve brought a vehicle into the UK.

Oh dear ! Not everything is as it seems . This is obviously the company Andrew Bowie has been in touch with , a director being Jonathan Bishop . The advertisement reads

"We bought this car back in 2016 with the view of carrying out a concourse ( sic) restoration.
Time has not allowed this to happen so we are offering the below which could be perfect if you have a car or shell with no ID:"

What has happened to the original car ? Stolen ? Scrapped ? Sold to someone else with yet another different identity ? Or is this the source of the "parts" which Andrew was interested in ?

Draw your own conclusions about how wise it is to deal with these people. IIRC we have had their name mentioned here before

That Heritage Certificate should be revoked forthwith, unless you are buying the complete car...
