A question for those that look after their own cars. How do you dispose of old coolant? Given that it needs changing every 2 years, you quite quickly end up with a lot of it, especially if you flush the system too and get a 2nd fill of dirty water out. The local tip take waste oil, but don’t have a facility for antifreeze.
So, what’s the responsible way of disposing if it (not tipping it down the drain)?
Disposing of antifreeze

I take mine, and any oil, to the local recycling centre (the dump/tip in old money) and they have disposal tanks to put it in.

Bourne. They have a tank for oil, and they told me to leave the coolant in a plastic container (mine was in two 2litre white spirit containers) next to it, with the contents written in marker on the side. I think the new one in Fengate, Peterborough also take ‘hazardous waste’.
