I have checked every Jaguar colour offered between 1930 and 1994 (listed in 'Jaguar the Complete Story' by Stertkamp) and there is no reference to 'Silver Blue', only 'Silver Sand' in non-metallic's. Everything with 'silver' in the title usually involves metallic paint It may be a colour introduced after 1994 or the restorer is mistaken.

Could be a non Jaguar colour..even though the message says Jaguar..that's why I was interested in the colour code

I would agree, i think the restorer is mistaken.

These are all the E-Type colours along with paint codes:

As others have suggested I think 'Light Blue' 4385 would be original and maybe closest to yours.

I don't think we will ever get to the bottom of this.
The chart shows a S3 in the colour close to mine should be Light Blue, however if one looks on

xkedata.com/catalog/colors my car looks nothing like Light Blue, it's looks identical to Cotswold Blue yet the chart shows Cotswold Blue was only used on S1 1961-64.

I am guessing the restorer of my car used a coulor not year related.

I will try once again to get the code off the guy that did the painting to end this.

Just to throw another variable into the mix. My Light Blue S2 was parked next to three other light blue S2s last year. No two were the same (correct?) colour.

Mine is Black - I can assure you do not want black - a horrible colour - looks good when all polished but lasts 5 minutes - - show up any little mark and is impossible to keep clean and the sun destroys it.

I like your light blue a lot better.
