Not good. I hope all injured parties make a full recovery. Incidents such as this are not good for the vintage-car hobby. Politicians in the U.S. are starting to make noise about requiring owners to retrofit their cars with modern safety equipment or park them. I'm sure legislators around the globe are entertaining similar thoughts.

I saw this and was asked about it, given the E-type featuring and the fact that the incident was around a mile from home. I haven't seen or heard any details about the parties involved either, although the convoy of police cars and ambulances came speeding through our village when were were outside walking the doglet!

Given the number of people purportedly in the E-Type and the fact that they appear to have had less serious injuries, is it possible that the newspaper got it wrong and that they were actually in a Jaguar XE? Hope they all have a full and speedy recovery.

I would tentatively agree with David....slightly hard to imagine four women in an e type. The two in the rear would be most uncomfortable. Sadly I'd also imagine those in an e type would come off much worse than those in a modern focus in a head on collision. Hope all those involved make a full recovery.

If it was an E Type, I'd have thought the news would be more widespread
