What a lovely day in store (for us in Britain at least). The sun is shining and air is warm, and the E-Type is under covers in the garage waiting to be used for a long lazy Sunday bimble. Perfect driving weather for a trip to the coast. Or even better, to a distant and remote area of outstanding natural beauty.
But for the chintz twitchers....... and my own social conscience, I’d be out there now removing the covers, starting the engine, getting the car out of the garage, doing the pre-drive checks (BOLTS brakes, oil lights tyres suspension), while SWMBO determines which direction we are to drive and what we are going to do when we arrive.
Oh well! I’ve always got a shed and fence that need a coat of (environmentally friendly) creosote.

Same here.....been tidying greenhouse. Cars under wraps... Been nowhere all weekend..They are now threatening to ban exercise!!! The police state is coming and it will be interesting to see how many laws they 'retain just in case' once they come up with a plan to release the lock down....if indeed they have a plan

I opened the doors of the workshop this afternoon, fired up the engine and ran it until it was properly warm and the fan cut in. Moved the car about 2 feet. Switched off. So at least the car knows I haven't forgotten it.
Then turned to some carpentry work. Now it's time for violin practice...

We say cello practice but I guess that's just delusions of grandeur.

Always nice to have a project! While the V12 is in the garage, polished to a high gloss with nowhere to go, I have been building a greenhouse; it should be finished by tomorrow. Then what? A Pocher Alfa Monza beckons, which has remained in its box, and not started, since given as a present 27 years ago!
