Post by Harveysearle » Wed Sep 23, 2020 8:12 pm

Hi could anyone help me with the order of restoration putting my series 1, 2+2 back together.
It’s just come back from the bodyshop.
Is there any books or info or order.

A search of the Knowledge section ( ) will show lots of books
As a starter, look for Chris Vine's excellent blog, Chris Rooke's book and CMC/David Barzilay's book

Hi Harvey...we have a restoration section that shows lots of detail and how others have progressed. ..starting from getting the car....did you dismantle the car...this should have given you a good idea how it goes back together....Steve

Steve, he's also searching for a macanic (sic!) to help or do the work. Maybe he'd do better handing it all to a professional?

Thanks guys
Will look at what you have recommended and what you have mentioned, thank you.
I asked if there was macanic out there as I would like to crack on with putting at back together as I am working full time. The engine, gearbox and irs are all in. I just want to get it moved forward. I don’t want to give it to restoration firm as I am doing bits on it myself, as well .whats the satisfaction in that.
