In fairness, you can see that the tyres were completely flat when they first went in, so obviously pumped up before wheeling out. However, some parts do make it look like an elaborate scam.

In a garage that has electric lighting and stair access to the rear. I notice the camera never pans round to show the rest of the garage. While it probably hadn't moved for some time, it isn't being "exhumed" as such. Call me cynical too Steve.

I’m inclined to agree with the scepticism.
Restorers, auction houses and dealers love to add the ‘barn find’ moniker to a description as they think they can add a premium to their valuation. I guess the ‘bricked up garage’ is a new twist!
The reality is more a case of the emperor’s new clothes.
It’s a bit like selling bread or veg with the word ‘artisan’ or ‘heritage’ in front of it - double the price because it’s somehow more special than the bread you get from the local bakery at half the price! It’s not - it’s just flour, salt, water & yeast and a process that’s hardly changed in hundreds of years. The only difference is that the local reasonably priced loaf isn’t being made by a hipster in skinny jeans, huge beard and working out of a converted railway bridge arch in Limehouse, trying to recoupe the rental costs.
What’s more significant is whether that car has all its history, is still a low mileage one owner car and hasn’t been restored. For me, that’s what would make it more desirable.

Interesting. Hard to say. No doubt the car itself is genuine, but like others I suspect a fair amount of artistic licence has been employed in the story.
This was 2004, back in the days before people took photos of everything they ate or everything their cat did, so I'm unsure why you'd turn up with a video camera, a bunch of mates, and a trailer if you didn't already know there was something in there.
And the car at that stage would have been bricked up for forty years. Mine when I recovered it had been sat in its garage for about 25 years, and as you would expect was similarly dilapidated. However, although she'd been parked with the handbrake off, and the tyres like in this video pumped back up easily enough, it took an awful lot of soaking the rear brakes in WD40 before we could get the car to move - and even then it took a pull from the recovery truck's tow rope to break the initial binding. I don't see any evidence on the garage floor of them having had to soak anything, and the car seems to roll a bit too freely.
As others have said, it also seems a bit odd that a bricked up 'forgotten' garage seems to be hooked up to a readily available power supply and have decent strip lighting installed. And the already primed but not yet fully restored repair to the driver's side rear quarter looks a bit anachronous. And finally my own experience is that if an E-type is left to stand for an extended period of time, any bumper rubber adhesive tends to dry out and let go, and with it the bumper rubbers start to peel off and hang down or fall on the floor.
I suspect the car was known about and that they'd already been in there to do some preparatory work, and then returned with a camera to tell a somewhat embellished version of the truth.
