I've had a bit of a search but have not been able to discover whether Richard Smith is still supplying parts? in particular have been trying to find the 'eared' connectors that hold the wiper tie rods to the wiper spindles and I read somewhere that he was supplying these...Have always found his items to be of good quality...

I do remember that RM & J Smith moved some while ago, possibly during lockdown, and thus the phone no on the link that heuer provided may be out of date
Edit : having just looked at the accounts on line for year ended 28.2.2023 the company is quite clearly still trading profitably

I do indeed still have the Cooper S, but sadly like the rest of my cars I have not used it for several years

I'll PM you Richards mobile number as don't want to put it on the internet so he doesn't get deluged with spam. He's still going strong, I got some parts from him a couple of months ago.

You might recall I imported a 65 S in boxes from New Zealand on 2014, it's been an expensive labour of love but hopefully should be on the road toward the end of this year - might be a shock to the system with 45 years having passed since last owning one!christopher storey wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 10:55 amI do indeed still have the Cooper S, but sadly like the rest of my cars I have not used it for several years

I am sure you will enjoy it, Richard . The Mini, and to only a slightly lesser extent the ADO 16 1100 and 1300, are a revelation to drive and must rank high, if not the highest, in active safety because of their "swervability". It is no accident that Leonard Lord, after just one drive with Issy in the prototype , said " build it"
