#1 Seeking Advice on Engine Troubleshooting

Post by Russonaftig » Mon Mar 11, 2024 7:48 am

Hi there,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently facing a bit of a challenge with my 'E' Type engine and could really use some advice from the community.

Lately, I've been experiencing some unusual engine behavior, particularly with regard to performance and efficiency. Despite regular maintenance and care, I've noticed a decrease in power output and occasional sputtering during acceleration.

I've checked the usual suspects like spark plugs, fuel injectors, and air filters, but haven't been able to pinpoint the root cause of the issue. Before I dive deeper into troubleshooting or consider taking it to a professional, I thought I'd reach out to the knowledgeable folks here for some guidance.

Has anyone encountered similar issues with their 'E' Type engine? What troubleshooting steps did you take, and were you able to resolve the issue successfully?

Any insights, tips, or suggestions you can offer would be immensely helpful and greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to your responses and insights.

Best regards,

Don’t know what engine you have with injectors, did you try disconnecting one plug wire at a time to se which one may not affect the running of the engine? This could only be ignition, fueling or timing for stage one troubleshooting.

Are we sure this isn't spam? Most owners would know if their car was fuel injected or not, and if it was modified with fuel injection they'd say so surely.

As it is the only post of the poster with no indication of model….it could possibly be spam….and the opening sentence….
