#1 Christopher Storey
It is with great sadness I have to report that long time Forum member Christopher Storey KC has passed away. Christopher joined the Forum in 2008 and had almost 6,000 posts to his name. He was knowledgeable, helpful and most kind both in person and with his written communication. He will be sorely missed within the Jaguar and wider classic car community.

What sad news. As others have said he was a friendly and helpful person as I know from my own exchanges with him. Wishing his family my sincere condolences. RIP Christopher.

That is truly dreadful news.
His posts were excellent, and he was indeed generous with his time in private.
I was often struck by his improbable mixture of engineering and letters, and admired the way he did not suffer fools gladly, and was prepared to say so.
We have lost a great brain.
I hope David has some way of communicating our collective condolences to his family.

I met Christopher only once, at Oulton Park in Cheshire - I was in my e type and he told me he had taken a photo of it some years earlier at Donnington Park when it was under my uncle’s ownership. He offered to dig the photo out and send it to me. True to his word, he did just that and I have always been touched by this small act of kindness.
RIP Christopher.

This really is sad news.
Geographically, he was probably the closest member of this forum to me, although we never met in person. He was, as others have said, knowledgeable and generous with his time and had a particular way of looking at things.
Rest in peace, Christopher. This forum will be poorer for losing you.
Sincere condolences to all of his friends and family.

I am very sad to hear this news. I have only just read about his passing after posting an inane and rather meaningless post on gaskets. It is some 10 or 11 years since I first encountered Christopher on this wonderful forum of which he was a leading member. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him personally. David if you are in touch with the family, perhaps you can pass on all our condolences and grateful thanks for his wise words and guidance. RIP Christopher.

Oh how sad, sending condolences to his family. I never got the chance to meet him but was often engaged in a lot of lively discussion, and I learned a lot from him.
