#1 London Concours 5th June
Spotted this should anyone be in London or care to have their pride and joy on show.
On Wednesday 5th June, the London Concours, in partnership with Jaguar, pays homage to one of the greatest and most enduring icons of automotive design: the Jaguar E-type. Present in all its evolutions and variants, we’ll be showcasing the genius of a shape that was designed for purpose, yet so elegant in its proportions and details that it’s earned a place next to some of the greatest pieces of sculpture ever created.
From the purity of the Series I – including the very early flat floor, and external bonnet latch cars – to the fury of the Lightweight racers or even a subtly enhanced restomod, this gathering of 50 cars is designed to showcase the breadth of the E-type. It tells a story of celebrity, innovation, success and development charting the rise and everlasting popularity of ‘the most beautiful car in the world’.
Welcomed into the private sanctuary of the Honourable Artillery Company in the heart of the City of London, selected owners are invited to display their cars as a core London Concours feature.

I'm taking mine along Geoff. First time. The special E type display persuaded me to do this one instead of Hampton Court this year. Just hoping the winter weather will be over by next week. I had to apply with a photo (the car, not me) and details. I find the mid week timing a bit odd. Anyone else going?

I'll be there! Always a good event. They always get a fabulous selection of cars in, and the venue is pretty spectacular.

I will look out for you Simon. I take it your car can be identified as the one towing a Concorde?

Oh, and do you have any useful info for a newbie attendee? When to arrive, which way to go, etc etc

It'll be good to see you there!
They're very well organised once inside, so my best advice would simply be to get there early so that you're not having to nurse your 'E' through London traffic any more than you have to.
They're likely to bring us in via the main entrance on City Road, but there's a chance that because all the main exhibit cars will already be in place that they'll bring us in through the southern entrance on Chiswell Street - I guess they'll let us know nearer the time.
Facilities are very good, and the 'exhibitors' catering arrangements are likewise usually excellent. You're there for a full day (departure is 7pm I think), so make the most of it! There's always a fantastic selection of cars so it's nice to be able to take your time wandering around and taking it all in. We all need to be in position about an hour before they start letting the public in, so that gives a good opportunity either for a final wipe down of your steed, or a quick nose around the place before it fills up.

#10 Re: London Concours 5th June
I've now heard back and my car has been accepted. Any tips for those who have been there before in terms of the best (E-Type friendly) route there? I live SW of London so have the main choices of either going up the A3 (with the joy of the J10/M25 works delays) or to travel a bit north and to go in via the M4. Any advice?
