#1 Classic Car of the Year competition 2012 E-type.

Post by 00series » Tue Aug 28, 2012 9:28 am

Hi,

I just had a phone call from the Classic Car of the Year competition - i entered my S2 2+2 a few months ago on a whim & it appears that i am in the final 20.

If you want to check out the final 20 cars here's the link:

http://www.ccoty.co.uk/classic_car_voting.php

There's some great cars in the last 20 - but if you think mine is worthy of your vote then your tick in the box would be appreciated.

I'm up against a Lagonda, the Persuaders Aston & a DB5 so i'm not expecting to win - but a top 5 spot would be nice as it means free insurance for a year: which will go towards paying to replace the sagging headlining.

Many Thanks, Bert.

You got my vote, but there were some seriously-used cars in that lot, so you're not the front-runner you might be in a group comprised only of concours restos. Nice to see them including mostly drivers instead of trailer queens. Good luck.

Thanks for the votes, pete i hear what your saying regarding the well used classics, the austin 7 & the morris 25 have superb driven history & really do ooze charisma.

I don't mind if i come last as it's already an honor to be on the same list as some of those great vehicles.

Cheers, Bert.
