We have moved servers and there are some problems. Please bear with us if you have access problems and keep trying.

David if you need a financial donation to help get stuff fixed I'd be happy to pay an annual sum to use this forum. It's a great place and I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Thanks but it is not financial. You will have to bear with me whilst I try and resolve the technical issue's. If the Forum disappears please check on Jag-Lovers for updates.

Dave,

When I log on, it now sents you to a advert for E type Uk. On the top right hand corner is a forum tab which directs you through to the forum as we know it.

You may start seeing this message when you click on the 'Forum' tab from the main web site.

David,
As stated above I do see the 404 message when I try to logon, also as stated above by Tony, clicking on the 'Forum' link at the top right of the page gets me back in to the index where I would expect to be, however this is via a new tab on my browser (IE11) whilst the 404 tab stays put.
Good luck in getting to the bottom of this!

If you have the Forum bookmarked in your browser it will most likely have this address: index.php

Change it to http://forum.etypeuk.com/ (i,e. delete the index.php part) and you will go straight to the Forum and bypass the 404 message. Thanks to Angus for figuring that one

Hi David,

I'm afraid the shorter address makes no difference to me. I still get the 404 with the option to click through on the top right. Also, logging out takes me to the 404 page as well, not the index page with the partially hidden threads.

Regards,
Jim

Clear your browser cache and try again. Both of the above links should now take you straight to the Forum.

Works fine for me David.

I usually link to new posts and that works too.

Cheers,

I cleaned out my cache and tried again, only to have the same problems. I cleaned it out again to record the changes to the URLs at the top of my browser as I went through each step, and this time, when I logged out, I was taken to the cut down index page as was usual.
All now appears to function as it did before. Thank you.

OK. I think we have everything stabilised and back to normal for the moment. More work to do over the coming days but that should not impact on day to day running. Thanks for your patience.

Big than you to Marcus Holland (owner of E-Type UK) and his team for sorting things out so quickly. There is still work to do but based on what I have seen all potential problems will be quickly overcome.

I'll add my thanks to all who have sorted this out.
I'd be lost without the help I've received on the forum and am very grateful it is back up and running properly.

Thank you
