I recall hearing of this car when it was revealed at Castle Coombe. When you consider what they started with, just the front and rear bulkheads and nothing in between, what has been created is very special.

Purists with be having a heart attack, and while I may comfort them I don't think this car is a waste of a chassis. Rather it is the reinvention of the classic lines by a new generation of car lovers. My boys think this is the very best, a combination of Dad's dream car and their dream car. Maybe I'd have preferred it not to be a drift car, but a hill climb special, or a sprint car, but I'm happy another generation can appreciate the pure geometry that made our favourite car the most beautiful of any age.

That is magnificent, in the true meaning of the word.

Oh. And I forgot to mention. My oldest knows the builders of the car, as twas created down yer in these parts, and he used to be a grease monkey in Yeovil.

I must admit, I'm usually all for keeping it original, but there's no denying the quality and integrity of that build nor the love that's gone into it.

Impressive I must say - and indeed it has saved another car - but not really my cup of tea. Nevertheless, well done to them, it takes a lot of skill to be able to restore a car to stock, let alone do anything else to it!
