@ Bill/angelw

please check your private messages.

On Saturday I sent you an enquiry regarding the modified rear bearing I would require very urgently...

Hello Tails733,
Wrong bearing style. The correct bearing has minimal radius (virtually none) between the face and bore of the Internal Race of the the cir-clip end. The bearing supplied by all the suppliers have a large radius that results in minimal contact between the face of the inner race and the Oil Pump Drive collar.

Regards,

Bill

Bearing prices are funny - a while ago I rebuilt a Bristol diff.; the 'correct' crown wheel/diff bearings were listed at £2,000 each (yes two thousand!). I bought a pair of bearings 1mm wider for about twenty quid each. Fitted perfectly under the castellated adjuster nuts, and the whole ass.y fitted into the axle casing no problem.

Not only the wrong style, but for the wrong gearbox! The all-synchro is quite different from the Moss Box

Hello Christopher,
Actually, the bearing is the same for both gearboxes.
I have now sourced a bearing that is about 95% correct in terms of the radius (or lack thereof) of the inner race, at the cir-clip end of the bearing. They are without the cir-clip groove, which I then machine.

Regards,

Bill
