#1 Installing engine with auto gear box from underneath

Post by Maikel » Fri Jun 16, 2017 5:10 pm

Hello,

who of you has experience installing the engine with auto gear box?
My plan is to do it from underneath, albeit the manual says from the top.

What is to be installed or done before refitting the engine?

Of course I have read the service manual which only describes the way from the top.

I am going to use a two post car lift
I have mounted the heat shields
plan to mount the auto cooling pipes and starter
Do I need to install the gear box oil level control tube?

What elso do I need to take care of?

Many thanks

Maikel

Hi Maikel......have never done it with an auto......but is worth thinking about it in reverse.....what would you need to do to take it out.......one thing, make sure the propshaft is installed befor you put it in and think about connecting the auto box electrics.... Steve
