Hi Everyone
Can anyone tell me the correct part number for the DMBZ6 oil seal that sits between the shaft and the engine block. The part I ordered from SNG had the number 418723 but clearly is not the right one.
Cheers
Alan

If it's the square section cork seal, these often need a fair bit of fettling to get them to fit. I tend to use some sandpaper.
If yours has an o ring on the distributor shaft the best thing to do would be to go to a hydraulic seal/bearing supplier and match what you have.

Thanks for the info. I've already got the first seal-418723 and as you've said-"not right at all". The cork seal seems to be the one I'm after. The existing seal appears to be cork heavily impregnated with oil.
Thanks
Alan
