#1 Megasquirt 4.2 series 3 XJ6

Post by ChrisCtype » Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:04 pm

Hopefully there might be others out there, Ive not asked before but thought its worth a try

I'm building a Realm C type replica using a XJ6 series3 engine, I have modified a set of triple SU's so they are now Throttle bodies and intend to run these with a Megasquirt

My question are there any megasquirted straight 6 engines on this forum, I have seen a few V12's I am interested in obtaining some maps fuel and ignition to create a good base map, if any of you can assist I would appreciate

Thanks
Chris

I seem to recall that a chap called Pete Congreve has squirted a 6cylinder etype, so you steal a map from him if you can find him. There is no need though, since you can start with an ignition map from anyone who has converted to EDIS, which is covered in another thread somewhere. You can then sort out your fuelling map using the Tunerstudio's autotune feature.

Purchase the newest version of TS and MLVhd. The graphing and tabling features of the hd version of MLV are well worth it.

kind regards
Marek

Hi Chris,
I think most posters on here would take good note of the comments from Marek.

Could you let me have the details of that guy in Northampton who refurbed your calipers. I’ve dropped the rear cage and given the hassle it is I’m going to have these brakes done and tested professionally. On looking at the cage I don’t think it’s ever been out before. All the original mounts and shims in place. The bolts were bloody tight. I’m going to put new UJs on the prop before I refit.

Speak soon

Tim

I think ive seen some of your posting on V12, but will look again at the link as I will be running wasted spark using Edis 6

James is sending me his emerald map which I can look to tanspose into MS, I have a tuner studio licence but I will look into the later version and see if I can upgrade, I have used the TS on my previous Westfield but its been a while since I've used it
