Hello everyone.
Having completed my steering and front suspension refresh and all the mechanical parts of the left to right hand drive conversion, I’m now thinking about the splash guards and mud shields.
The torsion bar mud shields (BD28660/1) have what I can best describe as webbing fixed/glued to the shield where the torsion bar rubs. I can only guess this is to silence any rubbing noise from the movement of the suspension.
This webbing is around 1/16” thick and around 1” wide and as I say is between the shield and the torsion bar. I can’t seem to find any part number or even a mention of this rubbing strip. You can just about see the very dirty rubbing strip on the right of the pic.
Can any of you provide any info please.
Thank You
Lester
